Hanging planters are a must-have for Plant Moms and Plant Dads - whether it’s to make your pothos happy or it’s the realization that all ground surfaces in your home are at 100 percent plant capacity. Both reasons are valid.

Here at Plant Dad, we've tried just about every shape and style of hanging planters over the years, and the vast majority are either extremely heavy or extremely “not cute.” We can and will fix this. The Plant Dad planters are durable and lightweight, and the style is timeless and elegant. In addition to style and construction, we wanted to bring a planter that would be easy to use, even if it's your first plant experience. There is no assembly or instruction manual. The planter is attached via chain and hook. You can hang it from the ceiling, curtain rod (make sure weight is within limits), shelves and more. Even better, the 5" planter makes it possible to simply go to the nursery, pick a 4” or 5" plant and put the plant and pot into the planter without transplanting. Of course, if you'd like to plant directly into the planter you can, however, we at Plant Dad like to switch things up often, so this makes that as easy as lifting the pot out. And just to confirm, plants are not included.

One important thing to note is that the Plant Dad Modern Hanging Planters do not have drainage. This is because these planters often live above electronics, hardwood floors, carpets, grandma and other valuables. The lack of drainage is a good thing for indoors, however, it makes it important to not overwater your plants since the water has no place to go. This is all the more reason to set the nursery pot and plant into the planter versus transplanting - if you or someone else accidentally overwaters, simply remove the plant, pour the water out and return the plant into the planter.
